Un Physicien au musée teaser : For physicist Joël Chevrier, certain universal questions such as motion, light, space, time, matter… are the bedrock of our lives, and everyone makes them their own. Science produces in-depth knowledge on each one, yet each scientist’s contribution is often no more than a grain of sand. But science is not alone in trying to understand the world. Art, too, takes up these universal questions. Physicist Joël Chevrier has decided to give life and meaning to the questions that physics explains through the works of artists such as Roman Opalka, Pierre Soulages, Yohann Bourgeois, Fabienne Verdier and others. Thanks to art, in this quirky and impertinent essay, he brings the knowledge reserved for scientists within everyone’s reach.
